Norfloxacin is a synthetic chemotherapeutic antibacterial agent occasionally used to treat common as well as complicate durinary tract infections. It is sold under various brand names with the most common being Noroxin. In form of ophthalmic solutions it is known as Chibroxin.  Norfloxacin is a fluoroquenolone antibiotic. It works by killing sensitive bacteria.

Indication and Usage:
Norfloxacin is an antibiotic in a group of drugs called  (flor-o-KWIN-o-lones). Norfloxacin fights bacteria in the body. Norfloxacin is used to treat different bacterial infections of the prostate or urinary tract (bladder and kidneys). Norfloxacin is also used to treat gonorrhea.
